What Causes Loud Noise While Breathing?
My mother is 72 years old. She had thyroid surgery 5 years ago. Just recently, I ve noticed that she is breathing heavily and her throat is producing a loud whistling sound. She is not able to sleep at night due to difficulty breathing and she feels like she is always gasping for air. I need help!!!!

Sounds like she is havong narrowing of the main airway. I would suggest workup for reactive airway diseases amd also a chest x.ray as an initial teat.
