What Causes Low BP When Diagnosed With Ventricular Tachycardia?

Hello....thank you for being available. I have been dealing with high blood pressure. 70 y.o. Female with multiple health problems....primarily bone. Have been diagnosed with v-tach in the past. For some reason, I am running a BP of 200-210 over -65--70. Taking lisinoprill ....live out in the country. Can not figure why I can t get a handle on lowering BP. I quit smoking for a year and like an idiot I started again about a month ago. Will quit. However, the BP problems appears to exist with or without smoking. Don t drink. Very light-headed, breathess and very poor balance. Any ideas? Thanks again.

Hi ! I have gone through your question and I understand your concern.
It's very good that you quick smoking for a year , you should stop it again.During the time that you have been smoking the damage has done in blood pressure ,the medication will resolve it and quick smoking will prevent New damage.
What I'm concern about here is the high difference between systolic blood pressure(200 -210mmhg) and diastolic blood pressure (65:70) , it's 135-140 this is not normal ( it's more than 60).The different we call it pulse pressure. Also the symptoms you have its something to be concern ( your systolic blood pressure is high. )
What I think about all these is that you may have a valvule problem( aortic valvule ) or atherosclerosis of aorta ( probably more this ) .The stiffness of aorta ( atherosclerosis ) is due to : high blood pressure or fatty deposits damagin the wall of the aorta. You should ddo some examinations :ECG , Ultrasound, blood test to find out the cause .

I would suggest to call your treating doctor as soon as you can for further evaluation and any change in medication( only he/she is allowed to do it)

Wish you good health.
