What Causes Low BPM Along With Moderate Heart Pressure On Lungs?

My daughter had an echocardiogram done due to a resting heart rate of 35 while in the hospital for mono. The cardiologist said her heart looked good and responded well to getting up and moving around - but while they did the echo they found moderate pressure on her lung. They said this may be a false reading and tomorrow they are doing a right heart cath. Is this warranted. She jogs a lot and lifts weights and is not out of breath at all.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, Yes, she probably needs the cath procedure. It sounds like they think she may have pulmonary hypertension and the catheterization can evaluate her for that or other serious heart conditions.
