What Causes Low EGFR Levels?

My recent bloodwork showed my EGFR NON African American number at 59. My creatinine 1.3, my albumin 4.5.. Is there a point where I should be worried about my kidney with such a low EGFR? Last years bloodwork showed EGFR at 65... For the last 5 months I have been taking etodolac for gout inflammation much more than in recent years and Im told this may be causing the lower EGFR numbers. If I stop taking anti inflamatories, could the EGFR number increase?

Hi
Went through your post and it is nicely elobrated, firstly let me tell you that GFR decreases by one each year after 30years of age, you have not mentioned your age, so can't say about your normal GFR, second yes etadolac is a NSAID and can cause renal damage and dicrease GFR, I would suggest you to change your gout medication to Chalichicine which will not affect your kidney at this stage.
I find this answer helpful
