Are there medications that would cause low white count and elevated cholesterol. Recently hospitalized for sever asthma which required ventilator support. lost 20 pounds during hospital stay, on numerous drugs. Now one month out of the hospital the doctor says my white count is low (around 3) and my choletesrol is higher than a 60 year old obese man. I am on seroquel, lexapro (have been for 2 years without problems) and also just recently off steroids, antibiotics. On inhalers also now.
