Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter who is 3.5 has had difficulty with eating since 4 months old. She has been in the 3rd percentile since then. Now she is in the 1st for height and weight, very picky with her eating, multiple peds visits, lots of reassurance from medical staff, attempted multiple foods, textures. Labs, IGF, thyroid, CMP all are normal. Next step is likely an endo, possibly GH to help. Any other suggestions.
The advice of an endocrinologist would be helpful as you mentioned.
In addition she may need to see a speech therapist and an occupational therapist as well. The speech therapist would be able to assess for any feeding and swallowing disorders she may have that may be contributing to her problem.
I hope this helps
