My father in law is 89 years old. He has a pacemaker and previously had by pass surgery some 10 years ago following a heart attack. His blood pressure has been running 119/65 and up to 128/70. He is a diabetic. This morning is blood pressure was 97/44. Upon checking his blood sugar, it was 300. What could be going on?
Hello, Welcome to HCM. If I have had details of drug used, could have given you a more useful answer. Any way, he is required to stick to his diet regime for blood sugar to remain within normal limits. His blood pressure, for his age , and with all other ailments, was all right. 97\44 is matter of little concern. if his blood sugar , and blood pressure continues to be like this, you have to talk to his treating doctor, he may like to change the drugs or the doses. Good luck.
