What Causes Low Blood Pressure With Liver Disease?
My father in law is 65 and has liver disease and the doctor tryst to keep his blood pressure low. He went fir spot and is bo was 130/60 and Dr doubled his bo meds. His bo stopped to 70/36 and went to hospital by ambulance Er dr told him not to take any bp med until he talks to dr on monday. Bp today is 130/45.should we be wortied?
I am sorry to hear about your father in law and his recent change in blood pressures. His first blood pressure of 130/60 is within normal limits and today's blood pressure is also within normal limits. Normal blood pressure ranges from 90-140 on the top number and 50-90 on the lower number. From your description on his blood pressure I would not change his blood pressure medications. As you experienced doubling his medication cause a dangerously low pressure. I would recommend holding his medication until he sees his doctor. Through out the day I would take additional blood pressure readings record them and present them to his doctor.
