General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Feeling fatigued and sleepy after a meal is not an uncommon reaction. Many people even expect their bodies to, in a sense, shut down after eating.
Blood flow to the small intestine “dramatically increases” after a person eats.
This effect may cause fatigue.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
