What Causes Low Confidence Along With Mood Swings?
Hi . I am 44 yr old married with 2 kids. Its regarding my wife aged 40. She has a monthly bout of mental agony. Sort of depression i believe. I have seen this happening since we married (16 yrs). She has a feeling of low confidence, low esteem and blames me for everything. She s tensed during this period and get annoyed on petty issues. We would have serious verbal fights during this period. It would be for few days and rest of the days of the month she is normal. Its only last 2 yrs I have come to realize this happens during her periods. She also realize her problem but not ready to take medical opinion. I am worried for our marriage and kids. Its not that i am a perfect person. But not sure how to go about on this situation. Pls advice. Regards
There are mood swings and increased irritability in females during periods and it is quite common. But if it is abnormally frequent, this falls in the category of mixed ad syndrome (anxietydepression). Take her to a psychiatrist and go for psychological counselling.
