What Causes Low Energy After Treating 100% Blockage At Back Of Heart?
My mother had a 100% blockage in the back of the heart, which resulted in a heart attack. They are saying that this was in the back bottom of the heart. They did the stint. She is not getting her energy back. this has been since last Tuesday. Is this normal or should there be concern. Her age is 82.
Low energy is quite common after any type of hospitalization. Your mother was hospitalized for stenting, that is one cumbersome process, so for a few days she will feel low energy, but nothing to worry about just give her a nutritious diet which includes vitamin mineral carbohydrate fat and protein in appropriate amount. She will improve within 15 to 20 days and continue previous medication advice by cardiologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Diwashish Biswas, Internal Medicine Specialist
