What Causes Low Energy Levels, Tiredness With Excessive Hunger?
My 10 year old boy is tired all the time, has low energy, and is always hungry. He is not overweight and he is not real athletic or active. Is there anything that I can do to increase his energy level? He goes through these periods about every other month but lately it has lasted for about 2 months straight.

You may find out the cause of low energy levels, tiredness with excessive hunger.so may do randome blood glucose.If increase, your boy have been suffering from Diabetes mallitus type-1 and also find out brain tumor so you may do MRI of brain.If DM, then treat inj.insulin.

First make sure your child is getting adequate rest and nutritious food. If inspite of this the child remains unduly tired you may need to find out if his Irin levels in blood are low, so gea blood test for haemoglobin. The doctor may want to do a serum Iron study too. A thyroid function test (T3 ,T4 & TSH) may also be done to rule out hypothyroidism. Also make sure he is happy and content at home and school. An unhappy child may appear tired all the time
