What Causes Low Fever, ESR Of 80mm When On Medication For Diabetes?
MY dad has been suffering from low fever(99F avg) & high cough for 5 days.he had a blood test of Hb,tc.dc.esr,suger(fasting & PP),sr. uria,sr. creatinne.Each test is in normal range except the ESR
ESR 1st hour is 80mm where the normal range is 20mm.and haemoglobin is 10.7.he is 61 years old and takes pills for sugar.although sugar is now 104(PP).is there something to worried about?

Hi,
As he is having cough and low fever with ESR is high go for x-ray chest to rule out pulmonary tuberculosis.
After report go for treatment accordingly.
Ok and take care.
