What Causes Low Grade Fever Along With Chills And Appetite Loss?

I have been sick since last Saturday so about 9 days. I had a low grade fever, chills, no appetite and a deep chest cough. Very fatigued and feel weak. I only have the cough- no appetite and tired symptoms yet. Just concerned that if I do go to the doctor they are just going to say give it more time. How long does it normally take to overcome the flu.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

These viral infections cam take few weals to heal. The cough can be even for more time exact time frame cannot be said about, as this is pretty variable. So if things are getting better and you feel better now, then some rest and giving it time is all that is needed. However any time you feel that things are getting worse , then you can talk to your doctor any time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
