General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your question in HCM. Sorry to hear about your husband's symptoms. Low grade fever with dry cough, fatigue, loss of appetite are suggestive of either respiratory tract infection, flu or viral, but if the temperature is increasing only at night with chills, it might indicate some vector borne or mosquito born diseases. Inspite of taking Tylenol,if the symptoms continue for more than 3 days, then it is better to go for blood test like complete blood count, blood culture, malarial parasite, Widal test and urine routine test. Encourage him to take lots of fluids to prevent dehydration.
Hope he gets well soon.
Take care.
