What Causes Low Grade Fever Along With Fatigue And Sore Throat?

I ve had a constant fever for about a week, maybe more. Not high, 99. - 99.6 right now accompanied by fatigue and feeling tired or sleepy. I take an aspirin a day (when I remember). Today I have a slight sore throat but otherwise feel OK, but am worried why I have a fever all of the time. I m 58, female - no history of anything - rarely go to the doctor because I m pretty healty. 5 2 115 lbs.

Hi,

As per your complain low grade fever along with sore throat and fatigue can be due to viral Infection and as it is just one week, you need not to worry as it is not abnormal. I would suggest you to take Acetaminophen or Tylenol to reduce fever. You can also take a combination of Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. Take Vitamin B Complex along. Take sufficient rest and drink plenty of fluids. In case if there is no improvement and fever recurs then consult a Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigation like Complete Blood Picture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.
