What Causes Low Grade Fever Along With Headache And Cough?
low grade fever 5/25 pm to fever of 102.5 on 5/26 and 5/27. 99.9 afternoon/evening of 5/28 with headache consistent, headache no fever, ok with evening headache back of head through to 6/5 when evening fever returned through 6/6 of 99.9. heahache, pm fever, cough 6/5 and 6/6. should I see a dr or is it a virus? 2 others at work have had the same thing. I work in a school with lots of kids
Hello and welcome to HCM. I have gone through your question in depth. It may be due to viral flu as of now.Cant comment anything further as it will be too early to say anything as your history is of very short duration. If I were your treating doctor,I recommend , -Antipyreticanalgesic like diclofenacparacetamol combination for 3 days. -Cough expectorant 2tsp twice. -Have plenty of rest and intake of fluids. -Have healthy balanced diet. -Covering nose and mouth with handkerchief while coughing or sneezing.
-If the symptoms persists beyond 2 days,antibiotics need to be started.(to be taken with physician's consultation) Certain investigations may then become necessary depending upon other symptoms present. Hope this information helps. Thanks and regards.
