What Causes Low Grade Fever Along With Red Spots On The Stomach Of A Child?

Hi My 10 year old daughter is running a low fever (around 100) and has a few spots on her torso- they are small red spots, they look almost like popped blisters, they are not clustered together they are in random places, and they do not itch. Any ideas?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

By your history and description, possibility of viral infection-related fever and rashes are more likely. So tell him to drink plenty of fluids orally. Give him antihistamines like levocetirizine or fexofenadine.

Along with give paracetamol for fever. Don't worry, he will be alright with all these in 1 week.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Kaushal Bhavsar, Pulmonologist
