What Causes Low-grade Fever, Tremors In The Body And Lower Abdominal Pain?

I became ill a week ago with a stomach virus. Could not keep anything down from Wednesday through last Friday a.m. Ran low grade fever, on Thursday night at 11:30 pm I had full body shakes for about 10 a 15 minutes and then subsided. Occurred again at 4 am. Has not occurred since. I have had a persistent lower abdomen/ pelvic soreness on my right side also. I was recovering and feeling better but just took my fever and it is 100 degrees. I am tired and have a mild headache now. I am concerned about this ache on my right side. It resembles a muscle tear. That area hurts when I cough.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You need to get your blood tests done like blood culture and sensitive when you have a spike of fever and some baseline tests to look for any infection.

I would recommend you to get an ultrasound abdomen done as well to look into your pain in abdomen in the right side. Its best to consult your doctor and he might start you on antibiotics and antipyretics.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
