What Causes Low Grade Fever While On Clindamycin?

I m taking Clindamycin 300 MG three times a day and sometimes run a low grade fever. I took 600 MG to pre-medicate before dental work last Friday, but dentist prescribed three a day since my tooth might have caused an infection. Should I be concerned about the fever (99.1)? Thank you YYYY@YYYY

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Clindamycin is commonly give as a pre and post treatment medication in dental treatment and a low grade fever an be due to septicemia in case if there is a severe dental infection or you have got an extensive dental treatment done..

A mild fever can also be due to viral infection that can be overlapping with dental procedure..

But you need not to worry as you have mild symptoms and also if it is due to septicemia you are already taking Clindamycin that will help in treating infection..
Along with it you can take Paracetamol to bring temperature to normal..
You should also take appropriate rest and a nutritious diet..

In case of no improvement consult a Physician and get a clinical examination and a blood test done..
