What Causes Low Grade Fever With Enlarged Lymph Nodes After An MMR Vaccination?
Baby, 1 year old, had MMR vaccine one week ago. now has low grade fever, enlarged lymph node by armpit and yellow poop. Took baby to doctor today (but before we noticed lymph node and yellow poop) and doctor said fever is side-effect from the vaccine. are these all side-effects of the vaccine or is there other reason to be concerned?

fever and lymphnode enlargemnt are very common more than 80% after mmr vaccination . no need to worry at all ..it will subside after 4 to 5 days ...u have to give only paracetamol syrup

Hi...fever usually occurs about 5-6 days from an MMR vaccine. But at the same time I assure you that the enlarged lymph node by armpit and yellow poop are not due to the MMR vaccine. A single enlarged lymph node need not be worried about unless the kid has severe anaemia or continuous fever or loss of appetite. Yellow poop seems to be viral. Do not worry.
