General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Smoking methamphetamine is seen to cause arrhythmia complicating to Atrial fibrillation & enlargement of the heart. Palpitations occur & reduced blood supply may cause chest pain.

Continued use of Methamphetamine causes heaviness of chest, sharp chest pains which can be the sign of heart attack.

Since you have developed palpitations, visit a GP, get physically examined. Get treated for your symptoms.

However, you need to get a cardiac checkup done to rule out any developing CAD. You will have to go through blood & Imaging tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
