What Causes Low Immunity While Withdrawing From Prednisone?

I was wondering about tenfold blockers I have tried so many n so many make it seem like I hurt worst sometimes next day I on enbrel now ,take once a week use to help but not any more do u think ptrdisone is better only thing that helped my dad when he was alive it overwhelmed me sometime but on the tapering does the 2nd it kind of helps but my immune system is low n it scares me thank Jin advance

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I inform you that Prednisone itself lowers the immunity, for this cause (and some others) it is used to treat arthritis and more other diseases, it block's the immune system from fighting body tissues. The wise thing to do when you are on Prednisone is to interrupt it slowly (if you are taking 2 tab x day, the other day go on 1 and so do till you stop it). Be aware of infections meantime and eat well.
