What Causes Low Libido And Swollen Face When Diagnosed With Schezoeffective Bipolar Disorder?

Hi, I am diagnosed for schezoeffective bipolar disorder. I was on Sulphitac 200 to 400 mg for over 6 years. Post the same based on an interim discontinuation for 15 days, I was admitted to hospital on parents consent. I was administered with 3 doses of Invega Sustenna over a period of 1.5 months. Now I am back on Sulphitac 200 mg. However recently ( 8 months after hospitalization) I see that my libido has drastically come down, my neck and face have swollen and become huge, I feel less alert while driving. This is only like last month. Can you please help, especially on the swelling on urgent basis.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hi,

The disease itself plus the treatment with drugs can cause such symptoms. Work with your psychiatrist for this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Harshita, Ophthalmologist
