After being on hbp medication for years, at times I now have a very low pulse rate i.e. 37, 41, 50; it s not consistently low, but is low more often than not. I have a lack of energy and get light headed. Any suggestions on cause of low pulse? thank you
Noted your short history about taking medications for high blood pressure for years the pulse rate is dropping to low, lack of energy and get lightheaded. The most probable causes can be as follows: Suffered from heart problems silently that is causing the symptoms that your have. Maybe you are on beta-blockers that cause low pulse. Hence it is of utmost importance to consult a Cardiologist and undergo complete heart check up including EKG, Echocardiography and so on. This will get us the most comprehensive diagnosis and thus allow the most appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
