What Causes Low Red Blood Cell Count?

I am Lisa and am trying to help my mom with figuring out what step she should do next. She is 65 and has diabetes, high chol, high blood sugar, she has been tested lately and wants to know if charcots symptoms can start early one and what symptoms she should look for. Her results came back with a low red blood count and a decreasing hemoglobin. If it is possible what could she do for a lower red blood count.

early symptoms of charcot syndrome includes redness, swelling in ankel n foot, weakness in legs,,ankels n feet, high foot arches, footdrop, loss of muscle in legs n feet, curled toes, instability of joint, dislocation of joint, etc... decrease in hemoglobin n red blood cells is not related directly.. but u can increase hemoglobin by giving her plain folio acid 5mg tablets for one month and fruits like Apples bananas pomegranate.. and most important fresh wheat grass juice early morning empty stomach and don't have anything till one hour
