General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Though, the normal heart rate in healthy adult is 60-100 per minute. However in athletes it may be normal up to 50 / minute. In some cases it may be low even up to 40 / minute. If the patient is feeling no problem, then it is not a concern. However, if patient is complaining of chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, weakness and a feeling of early tiredness, then it is an indication that patient should consult a doctor and should be investigated and managed accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
