What Causes Low Sex Drive While Taking Pristiq In Men?

Hi, my name is Tracy & my husband David is on Pristiq & we are both struggling with the side effect relating to his sex drive. Besides going back to the Dr s is there anything we can do to help this as he needs to be on these tablets. Thankyou in advance Tracy

1. Pristiq [desvenlaxafine] cause reduced sexual drive, reduced arousal; delayed time to orgasm or inability to orgasm; abnormal ejaculation in men.
but in newer studies it has been suggested that in patients with depression merely reducing the dose [20 mg to 5 mg] helps in reducing the sexual side effects.

2. Consult with your doctor for more treatment and management options for antidepressant-related sexual dysfunction. [taking 10 mg loratidine per day can help overcoming these issues]
