Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Low Testosterone Level With Tiredness And Fatigue?
My 63-yr old husband is always tired and fatigued. His entire body hurts, he s obese but can t lose weight even with a low carb, low sugar diet. His testosterone level is very low and he knows that s a big problem, but even when he was taking injections, he still had these same symptoms.
He may need assessment of other hormone levels such as thyroid hormone and also need complete blood count to rule out anaemia as a cause of his fatigue.
Autoimmune tests to check for conditions such as rheumatoid or lupus may also be done to determine the cause of the generalized discomfort. An assessment by a rheumatologist would be helpful with the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
