Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Low Tolerance And Temper Tantrums In A Child?
My child experience extremely low frustration tolerance / resiliency, and often has temper tantrums when hungry. He eats regular, well-balanced meals but seems to need lots of snacks. These changes in temper come about fairly suddenly, and as soon as he has eaten a small snack he goes back to normal. Should I be concerned about blood sugar levels?
Hyperphagia or the need to eat too much is a sign of diabetes together with polyuria and polydipsia (urinating much and drinking much water too. He should check his sugar levels fasting and postprandial.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
