Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Lower Abdominal Cramps At Night, Bloating And Green Stools?
Three days ago I awoke at night with cramping in my lower abdomin. No nausea but it was rather painful. Then for the next 3 days I have had mild cramping and been very bloated. Getting better now. My bowel movements are a nasty color of greenish brown. Sorry but maybe that is telling. Do I need to seek treatment of any kind? GasX has helped with the bloating feeling.
I think you are suffering from gastrointestinal tract infection. Having green stools means that the food isn't fully digested and contains undigested fibers on it. You may get better in 5 to 7 days.
Taking enterogermina is advisable. Keep yourself hydrated. You can use loperamide if diahorrea is severe.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
