What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain Along With Swelling And Pain Above Hip?

I am a 57 year old female. Starting yesterday morning I experienced pain just under my left hip bone. As the day continued the pain got worse. To the point that I had a very difficult time getting into bed last night and getting comfortable to be able to sleep. Moving from a standing to a lying position would send extreme, shooting pain through my abdomen. The area just above my left hip is swollen and painful. I have no blood in my urine nor is it painful to urinate. There is no pain in my back or any other location. I have no other medical issues that I am aware of. Currently, I am uncomfortable and occasionally I have a shooting pain or a more intensified pain in my lower abdomen.
