What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain And Fever?

My 56 year old walked into the room and said he thought he had appendicitis and maybe ruptured??? He has a temp of 100.7 and blood pressure of 133/75. He s experiencing a pain all across his lower abdomen. Should we take him into an ER? or wait and see.

Hello,

Since he is experiencing sudden, sharp & severe abdominal pain you should take him to ER & get him physically examined.

Severe abdominal pain with fever can be due to GERD, Gastric reflux, Appendicitis, Choleycystitis, Pancreatitis, etc.

Let him go through all the investigations, Imaging tests, get the cause of the discomfort detected at the earliest.

His treatment will depend upon the pathology detected. In the meantime you can give him Spasmoproxyvon (Spasmol) for relieve from pain & Antacid, PPI's Pantoprazole - 40 mg.

Take medications under your treating doctor(Consultant).
