What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain And Swelling Below Navel Area?

I have severe swelling and weight gain in my stomach. There is a line tumor below the left side of the below the belly button. There is almost like a bruise where it starts. I have one ovary left, my right one. I do have some pain in my lower abdomen area...more on the right lower side. Just wondering what you think it might be causing this and if I should seek medical attention. Thank you for your time and God bless!

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The palpable swelling sounds to be lipoma of subcutaneous fat in the abdomen wall, while the internal pain may be from the various reasons as intestine colic, ovarian cyst in the remaining ovary or else.

Kindly get a CT scan of the abdomen & pelvis done and follow up with the report if you wish to continue further in this instance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
