What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain On Taking Postinor?

Hey doctor...just want to know why I am having lower abdominal pain after taking Postinor2. I took the first pill within 24hrs of having unprotected sex and I took the 2nd pill later than 12hrs. I saw my period 1st-5th of this month. When am I likely to ovulate, also, could I be pregnant considering the fact that I now sleep more?. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
You have taken right dose of postinor2 within stipulated time. So, chance of being pregnant is very rare.
Moreover, you had your period from 1 to 5. This means you should not be pregnant. Having cramps and sleeping more are not specific sign of pregnancy. Cramps can be due to many reasons like uterine contractions due to effect of hormone.
Hope this will be helpful.
Take care.
