What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain On The Left Side?

Hello, I ve had left lower quadrant pain for about 2 months now and it is on and off but it would get so bad that even bending over would hurt. I had an ultrasound which showed no issues with my ovaries. Now the pain had finally passed after about a month and then started again about 2 days ago, today I had intercouse and it hurt very bad. Immediately after I had the worst cramps ever, the only thing I can compare it to is labor. And I felt like I was going to throw up and pass out. I called my doctors and they said to see a gyno? I can t believe that s all they told me to do as I was feeling so bad. Any ideas? Endo maybe?

Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can.

It may be related to ovaries but also be sign of diverticulosis. YOu should do at least ultrasound but CT scan or colonoscopy would be better options.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
