What Causes Lower Back And Abdominal Pain With E.coli Infection?

on the 2nd of last moth i was diagnosed & treated for e coli.the day i finished the meds i began haveing suvere groin lower back &abdominal pain.i waited a couple days before returning to the hospital only for them to treat me as though i was a drug seeker.i do have a history with cancer.i had a complete histerectomy 13 years ago??????pls help regina.f

Thanks for your query.
I can understand the plight you must be going through.
E coli infection can be just a small part of the major problem as you are rightly suspecting.
Since you have undergone the full course for E coli, you yet have severe pain in the groin, low back and pain in abdomen.

I would advise you the following:
investigations: Stool - routine, microscopy, culture and sensitivity , urine and blood.
Colonoscopy.
CT scan of the abdomen.

The investigations will guide us for further treatment.
