Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello I am 51 yrs old and just in the past month I have had excruciating lower back pain and left hip pain with all joints aching and hands swelling sometimes. My children are grown and I don't work because I just moved to NY and have to have rotator cuff surgery this month. My question is do you think I have arthritis or RA or would my estrogen level be low? I had a hysterectomy 9 yrs ago and not on any medication for anything. Thanks, my body has never felt this bad before and I have been away from cold winters in three years living in Tn, Ca and Fla.
Hi, welcome to Health care magic forum. It appears that you have a viral infection, either chikan gunya,or dengue,Having the symptom of poly arthritis. The other possibilities are the rheumatoid arthritis,or lumbar stenosis. I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have M.R.I. for diagnosis. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and then periodically till the pain is under the control. Avoid taking potato, other tubers, tomato, egg, chicken, and sea foods till the pains are completely controlled. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
