What Causes Lower Back Pain And Blood In Urine?

Yes, I have been having lower back pain for about a month now and the last couple of days I noticed what look like blood in my urine randomly. The last 3 days I have been having the back pain but now it is radiating around to the front lower right side and I am getting a ache and pain radiating down the upper portion of my right thigh. This comes and goes. I initially thought it was a kidney stone, but now I am not sure. What do you think? Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What symptoms you are describing strongly goes in favor of presence of renal calculi (kidney stones). You need to get further investigation done to confirm or rule it out.
Kindly do the following tests:
1. Urine routine examination.
2. Ultrasound scan of abdomen.
Kindly consult Urologist with the report for clinical evaluation and management.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
