Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I took my husband in to hospital last night with lower back pain. He did a wee test and there was a little bit of blood in it. He has pain in his stomach as well. She seems to think it was kidney stones but he had pain both side at the front and back. His temp was up a little as well.
Sometimes you have some abdominal troubles it radiates upto back like in kidney or gall bladder stone, appendicitis and so on. But the cause of blood in urine are UTI, kidney stones, urethritis, bladder stones, obstructive uropathy, bladder cancer, CKD, polycystic kidney disease, pelvic inflammatory disease specially in females, prostatitis. But frequent urination with blood, burning micturion and mild fever indicates that he might be affected with urinary tract infection. To rule out the cause you have to get done some tests or investigation like urine test, ultrasound of whole abdomen, and x-ray.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ankur
