What Causes Lower Back Pain And Constant Burning Sensation In Legs?

I m told I have degenerative disc disease, OA in low back and hips. Pain has increased in low back and I ve been having constant burning, severing pain in my legs,feet-worse in the right leg and hip. Just had an MRI doctor says nothing emergent just DDD? I ve never had this kind of pain and nothing helps, should I see a rheumatologist?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Yes, you can consider seeing either a rheumatologist or a pain management specialist to see if either of these would be able to help with your pain control.

Degenerative disc disease can cause severe pain. The burning may indicate that the nerves in the area are affected. Degeneration can sometimes result in compression of the nerves.

There are medications that may be able to help you and your doctor may also suggest physiotherapy as a part of your treatment as well

I hope this helps
