Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have had lower back pain for the past 9 months, it has come and gone but for the last couple of weeks it is mainly on the left side. when my lower left back hurts so does my left testicle. i noticed today that there was a lump or a swollen are on top of my testicle. any thoughts?
Lower back pain with lump on testicle may be part of lower ureter calculus with referred pain over testicle causing secondary orchitis. Though primary relief with analgesic tablets can be obtained, in my clinic, I do recommend a diagnostic work up with an ultrasound of the abdomen & pelvis with Doppler evaluation of testicles for best diagnosis and further guidelines. Till that time, drink plenty of liquids and avoid strenuous work, weight lifting and tight undergarments.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
