What Causes Lower Back Pain In A Diabetic Patient?
My husband has been taking Gabapentine for a couple of months and is now complaining about pain that wraps around from his back to the front he says kidney area. He is a diabetic. Can this be a side affect from the medication? He is not complaining about going to the restroom more or any pain during urination.

It is highly unlikely to be a side effect of Gabapentine. Gabapentine usually reduces pain rather than causing any pain as described above. The pain in your husbands back needs to be evaluated properly preferably by an orthopedicain.
