What Causes Lower Back Pain In The Mornings?

Hi My name is Estelle and for the last six months or more, I have been having lower back pain every morning after waking up. As the day goes progresses, the pain subsides. Then the following morning here it is again. Why is this happening every morning around the same time.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Regular pain in lower back could be due to strain which could result from poor posture or arthritis.
Ankylosing arthritis is an autoimmune disorder characterized by formation of auto-antibodies against self and it leads to inflammation of the lower spine.
However, certain investigations need to be done before a diagnosis is made and hence treatment can be started.
I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for clinical assessment.
A X-ray of the spine is required to look for any evidence of ankylosing spondylitis.
In case there is evidence of ankylosing spondylitis, testing needs to be done for HLA B27.
In case the pain is due to strain, certain measures need to be taken to relieve the strain like correct posture and exercises.

Thanks and take care
