Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 2 days post colonoscopy and egd. All the sudden I m having severe lower back and leg pain. Like, into the bone. Hurts to even walk or lie down. I.had this feeling months ago and had a h & h of 5 and 20. Received 2 units of blood. Hgb increased to 7.6. Anyway. This just started 24 hrs post procedures. It s severe pain. Should I be alarmed????
It is quite common after colonoscopy and will settle by itself. As of now you can take analgesics like aceclofenac or tramadol for pain relief. If symptoms persist you can consult a physician and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
