What Causes Lower Back Pain, Weight Gain And Bloating?

Hello, I have been having severe stomach bloating, weight gain and lower back pain for about 2 years. I have had MRI, and Xrays done of lower back and pelvis and nothing has been found. My doctor say i am just getting old and need to exercise more and tone my mid section to get strong and watch what I eat. My back is effecting my life style. It totally drains all my energy.

Hello,

Yes, your doctor is right. If its something in spine and pelvis it would have appeared in MRI and X-rays. I also suggest you to do you regular exercises to strengthen you back muscles. You can also take OTC medicines for your pain relief.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sameen Bin Naeem, General & Family Physician
