What Causes Lower Back Pain While Having Hip Dysplasia?

I am a 58 year old female who had bilateral hip dysplasia I had both hips replaced in 2001 right due to fusing and immobility due to fusing and left due to excruciating pain only after the right was replaced. They were done in May and November. I have been experiencing left knee pain for years and the knee is not straight, it is pulling out from my body to the left and causing lower back pain as well as decreased mobility. I would like to know what exercises can help me to lengthen my muscles, ligaments or whatever it is to increase my mobility and decrease my pain.

Hi,

It is quite common while suffering from hip dysplasia. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedic and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
