General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Usually the pain starts when a stone moves into the narrow ureter. This causes a blockage, which makes pressure build up in the kidney. It may radiate to your belly and groin area as the stone moves down through your urinary tract.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
