What Causes Lower Back Pain With Bladder Fullness?
I got up in the middle of the night because I felt like I had to pee with a full bladder, only a little came out. The same thing happended when I woke up in the morning. I have noticed some lower back pain as well. I understand that I should see a doctor, but what is the most likely cause?
Hello, Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are suffering from retention of urine . You have not mentioned your age. If you are more then 50 years old then you may be having benign enlargement of prostate (BHP) , for which you require a operation (TUR) for which you have to visit urologist. You also have chronic backache. It may be due to vitamin and trace element deficiencies specially vitamin D and vitamin B 12. Back exercises, neurotropics such as mecobalamine and analgesics (DICLOFENAC 100 MG SLOW RELEASE TABLETS) give relief. Sometimes vitamin D deficiency can aggravate this so serum vitamin D test is advised if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required. Avoid long continuous standing. Sit in a straight posture. Eat milk, fruits and green leafy vegetables daily. You need to done MRI TO RULE OUT other causes. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care.
