I have a combination of symptoms I have chronic lower back pain along with random numbness ad tingling in my legs and arms that has been getting worse within the past two weeks. I have also been experiencing occasional sharp pins and needles in my feet going up my legs. I had an MRI of my back and an MRI of my Head done both cam back normal. My doctor referred me out to neurology but I cant get seen till november and with my symptoms getting worse I don t know what to do.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,

From the available description there is possibility of neuropathy or some nutritional deficiency in particular vitamin B12. Presence of normal spine and head MRI almost rules out the possibility of structural lesions.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar,
Psychiatrist
